➜ Chaosbogey: Sonnet

chaosbogey:

Where it begins will remain a question
for the time being at least which is to
say for this lifetime and there is no
other life that can be this one again
and where it goes after that only one
at a time is ever about to know
though we have it by heart as one and though
we remind each other on…

…there is no

other life that can be this one again

and where it goes after that only one

at a time is ever about to know

indianroadromeo:

Indian wedding air instrument. The louder variety. Miraj, Maharashtra.

This reminds me a b&w photograph (a famous one I can’t seem to find now) of a street musician (playing a trumpet, I think). Another one that came to mind is of the blind woman by Strand (though not of a musician, it too captures a moment).
While this musician may not be lonesome (he’s probably part of a music band), this photo projects such an emotion, somber, may be sadness (but it’s too coarse a word), and I’m not thinking of the circumstances or the background of the person or the occasion, but mostly of a moment and the subject holding on to that moment.
These are the times I’m sorry that my vocabulary is not large enough to find the right words to describe this beautiful capture!
